Double Click Social Buttons for YOOtheme ZOO
The Double Click Social Buttons Element for YOOtheme ZOO gives you the opportunety to integrate the social buttons of the major social networks privacy compliant, quick and easy into the YOOtheme ZOO of your website. Therefore it is necessary for the userto initially unlock the buttons or the button with a single click and reload the original button code of the social network provider to view the social button in the customary manner.
Issue of the common social buttons
The basic issue is that the buttons of the largest social networks and other providers already transmitted personal data although these were still not being used in any way or even clicked. This allows the social networks to identify the user based on his SessionId.
Problem solving approach of the Heise Verlag
The basic proposal came from the Heise Verlag and shows how the data protection problem can be circumvented. (2 Klicks für mehr Datenschutz) Based on this idea Viktor Vogeldeveloped his version of a plug and the module's for Joomla. The functionality of the respective buttons is that the original source code of the relevant provider is loaded after the first click on the button. Also he added a button to unlock all social buttons simultaneously.
Basis / Availability
On the basis of the Joomla PlugIn's/Module's (2CSB - 2 Click Social Buttons) from Viktor Vogel we developed the YOOtheme ZOO Element. The Double Click Social Buttons Element for Zoo is available for free download for Joomla version 2.5 or higher and version 3.0 or higher of YOOtheme ZOO.
Backend / Settings
The Double Click Social Buttons Element for ZOO can be installed quickly and is easy to configure. There is an option to unlock all the buttons at once and reload the code or you can use the buttons for each social network separatly.
