Analysis

It is not always usefull to activate all possible analysis options. A repeated query to the Google Pagerank, for example, is time consuming and wont take an affect or change in rapid succession. Also the content of XML and CSS files does not have to be analyzed in each run. Also image and media files are only subject to limited changes. When disabling certain, for your analysis unnecessary analysis settings, you also increase the entire analysis speed. The analysis settings you will find in the settings dialog under Project -> Analysis.

Analysis settings

The settings of the analysis are explained in the following table.

Setting Description
just analyse the given URL The analysis is limited to the entered URL. All found links etc. are added to the database but are not recursively analyzed.
detect URL PageRank For each URL, except images and files, the Google PageRank will be calculated.
strip off URL parameter part This option can be useful if by parameters and anchor tags the URLs are analyzed in part multiply due to the parameter portion of the URL, especially if you analyse large shops and CMS systems.
detect Feed URLs It is recognized if the URL points to a feed or not.
detect images and files Images and files are automatically detected and added to in the analysis database.
detect images and files in CSS files Images and files can be recognized in CSS files by additional analysis and included in the analysis database.
detect images and files in XML files Images and files can be recognized in XML files by additional analysis and included in the analysis database.
detect H1 - H6 tags in the URLs The H1 to H6 tags of the URLs are identified and included in the analysis.
maximum URLs to analyse Here you can specify the maximum number of URLs to be analyzed.
maximum URL level/maximum crawl depth Here you can specify the maximum URL Level/maximum URL depth or the maximum crawl depth.
